Dark

Top: American Eagle
Jacket: H&M
Boots: Old
Pants: H&M
Glasses: Coastal

I have had this shirt for about three years now. I always forget about it or it always gets misplaced or something random like that. It's so comfortable and it can go with anything. Jeans, black pants, maxi skirts, it just always looks good.

This is a big week for The Torch. We have a business fair coming up that we are hosting. We will be doing everything from interviews to running the sound. Sounds intense right? Yes. Yes it does. We will be streaming the event live on the website all day Thursday, so if you're from Dekalb County, make sure you tune in to watch it. If you're not from Dekalb, tune in anyways and see if you can catch me during an interview or something.

Anyways, I have lots oh graphic-y things I need to get finished.

Color Festival

Scarf: Forever 21
Shirt: Forever 21
Bag: Steve Madden

Today has been so busy. We filmed a festival called "The Color Festival", in a near by town called Mentone. It was basically an art festival with tents and booths lining the side of a mountain. We've got some footage going up on the website soon (that's actually what Zach is doing right now). When it is finished, I'll be sure to put it up.

Photo of Zachary filming me taking a photo....

Colorful bottles!

When it was all over we decided to go hunt down some coffee in Fort Payne. Sadly, the coffee shop wasn't open. So now that we still haven't had any coffee, I'm off to get some!

Abandoned Warehouse

Kimono: Thrifted
Green Shirt: Forever 21
Leggings: Forever 21
Beanie: Zachary's
Glasses: Coastal

Todays outfit started off as a cream sweater with these leggings. Then it went to a different Kimono, a dress, and even just a t-shirt but finally I threw all of this on and was just ready to walk out the door.

Zach and I went shopping for some equipment for The Torch. We ended up coming back with a Canon Rebel TSI, a pair of Beats head phones, a few bags for equipment, and a Crumpler Camera bag for the video camera.

We bought over $1,000 worth of things and only spent $420. Thank you Unclaimed Baggage.

Falling Slowly

Dress: Asos
Vest: Damselle
Scarf: Thrifted
Boots: Asos

It's finally feeling like fall in Alabama. The leaves are starting to turn and fall, you can't walk outside without a jacket or long sleeves, and there is a slight breeze. It's nice. It's still too hot to wear tights, or big fur coats, but fur vests?? Yes.

Last night, before I fell asleep, I had a completely different outfit picked out. But this morning, I wasn't feeling like wearing a sweater and jeans. Planning the next days outfit is always useless to me. I always end up scrapping whatever I picked out and throwing on things that I have never put together before. And then sometimes, I get results like these. (Other times, I regret everything and just want to throw on an oversized sweater.)

Seven Deadly Spends (October)

If there is one thing I'm good at, it's wanting things. These are just a few items that I am dying to have at them moment. They have definably made it onto my Christmas wish list and I may just have to buy some of them myself.

Old thrifted sweater.

Sweater: Thrifted
White Tank: Forever 21
Jeans: H&M
Boots: H&M
Scarf: Thrifted
Glasses: Coastal.com

Here is a quick look at what I'm wearing today. There are lots of thrifty finds in this outfit. I even found the boots, jeans, and tank at great deals. Not to mention my glasses were free, and yes they are prescription glasses.

If you haven't been to Coastal.com, go now! You're first pair of glasses are free. Yes, I said free. (You have to pay for shipping but that's it.) I'm in love with all of their glasses and sunnies.

Since I have now lost everyone's attention and sent them to another site, I will end this post. Hope you enjoy Coastal!

Illustrations, coffee, and Birmingham

Today, I went to college with Zachary. Since I'm finished for the semester and he only had to go to class one day this week, I got to live the day like a UAB student.

I had Starbucks. (mmmmm)

I walked past amazing buildings on campus.

And we even got to do a mini fashion shoot with my phone.

Purple Shirt - Gap
Grey Cardigan - LOFT (old)
Black Leggings - H&M (ripped by me)
Black Sandals - TEVA

This outfit was absolutely perfect for today. I was comfy and felt cute. However, it was a little hot in the cardigan. I just wish it would stay cold forever but I guess that's what I get for living in Alabama.
I love my ripped leggings tho. Since I accidentally ripped them with a buckle on a pair of boots, I decided to rip them a little more. With time they should look really distressed. (woot)

Anyways, as for the rest of the day, this is what I did:

This is my newest illustration. Since Zach had to be in classes, I sat in a cafe on campus and got creative. I'm insanely proud of her. Isn't she beautiful?
She needs a name. Help :)

Poppin' Tags

What what, what, what.

I had a very successful day of thrifting today.

Black Kimono $4.00

Clutch $2.00

Cross Body Bag $2.50

I can't wait to pair the kimono with light dresses, lace tops, and shorts with chunky heels for summer. It's light and very versital. The clutch has the perfect boho look for any carefree outfit. Then the cross body bag is going to be perfect for when we go to Disney World at the end of May. It's so tiny that it doesn't get in the way and my money, phone, Chapstick, and face powder fits in it perfectly.

Also, today was a chunky sweater and glasses kind of day. It's ridiculous that I'm still wearing sweaters in April and I live in Alabama, but oh well. I'll live.

Trip to the Museum

Bag - Forever 21

Wednesday Zachary and I went to the Birmingham Museum of Art. I had to find a sculpture to write a paper on for my sculpting class. The museum is twice as big as I thought it would be and we could have spent two more hours in there. After spending two hours in the museum, there were still about 20 rooms we didn't visit.

I decided that cute comfort was needed if I was going to be walking around in a chilly museum and exploring the sculpture garden out side. This outfit was perfect for this day. Basically everything in this outfit has either been seen on  here before, or it was thrifted except for my bag. It was from Forever 21 last summer.

Anyways, if anyone is in Birmingham and you have a chance to go by the museum. It's free to get in and completely worth the two dollars for parking that you pay at the local parking deck. They even have a cute restaurant inside and they have exhibits that change out.

Wondering.

Hippy Shirt - Purple Haze $20.00
Jeans - Forever 21 $10.00
Vest - Borrowed from my Aunt.

This is the end result of how I look after a long day working at a coffee shop. Normally I throw on a sweat shirt for fear of spilling coffee on my good clothes, but I couldn't do it today. After work I visited my aunt Yota and we decided to have a little photo shoot for fun. She did a fantastic job. It was quite chilly outside but we braved through it.

After I got home, Zach and I had to go to a local restaurant and take photos for The Young Republicans of Northeast Alabama meeting that my brother hosted. Event photography is a blast.

Now it's time for homework, coffee, and a movie.
Goodnight :)
