Fall is coming.

Fall is almost here and it's bringing new adventures along with it! Fall is my second favorite time of the year, right behind winter (yes, I like the drab and cold). There is nothing better than fall fashion, new semesters of college, football parties, and yes...Hockey is also coming. Here are just a few things that I have been a part of within the past two weeks.

We launched a online media site.

www.southerntorch.com
Check it out, I built the entire site and app. There are still a few bugs I'm working on, but it was up in time to launch it, which happened last Monday. We are live broadcasting a local high schcool football game each week, which means long Friday nights in the office with Noodle for me.

She can never stay still for a photo. Even when she is being calm and sweet.

I sort of have a new hair style...ish..

Well, to me it's new. I only dyed the top so my faded ends would add an ombre look to it. Also, I've been rocking a middle part for a few months now.

And College also started back!

This semester, I decided to take 6 classes......Don't ask me why...It was a stupid idea, but I graduate in May if I get everything done! Yay!! So after a summer break, it's back to my art and graphic design classes.

Come back to my blog soon! I plan on giving it a complete makeover, so be looking for it!

Illustrations, coffee, and Birmingham

Today, I went to college with Zachary. Since I'm finished for the semester and he only had to go to class one day this week, I got to live the day like a UAB student.

I had Starbucks. (mmmmm)

I walked past amazing buildings on campus.

And we even got to do a mini fashion shoot with my phone.

Purple Shirt - Gap
Grey Cardigan - LOFT (old)
Black Leggings - H&M (ripped by me)
Black Sandals - TEVA

This outfit was absolutely perfect for today. I was comfy and felt cute. However, it was a little hot in the cardigan. I just wish it would stay cold forever but I guess that's what I get for living in Alabama.
I love my ripped leggings tho. Since I accidentally ripped them with a buckle on a pair of boots, I decided to rip them a little more. With time they should look really distressed. (woot)

Anyways, as for the rest of the day, this is what I did:

This is my newest illustration. Since Zach had to be in classes, I sat in a cafe on campus and got creative. I'm insanely proud of her. Isn't she beautiful?
She needs a name. Help :)

Red Feet.

Teal Pancho Thingy - Forever 21
Red Moccasins - Minnetonka
Black Shorts - Forever 21
Scarf - Thrifted

So I'm sorry that this post is a week late. My computer charger died so I've been without one for a while (so sad). Anyways, this outfit is very simple and so comfy. I had just gotten home from work and Zachary and I were going to just go over to my aunts and possibly go thrifting (which didn't happen because we started water color painting at my aunts house), so this outfit was nice and comfortable and perfect for just doing nothing.

I actually thrifted the red moccasins. They had never even been worn when I bought them about two years ago, and they have held together so well. The only thing is that they turn my feet red when I wear them, but I don't mind and I find it humorous.

Poppin' Tags

What what, what, what.

I had a very successful day of thrifting today.

Black Kimono $4.00

Clutch $2.00

Cross Body Bag $2.50

I can't wait to pair the kimono with light dresses, lace tops, and shorts with chunky heels for summer. It's light and very versital. The clutch has the perfect boho look for any carefree outfit. Then the cross body bag is going to be perfect for when we go to Disney World at the end of May. It's so tiny that it doesn't get in the way and my money, phone, Chapstick, and face powder fits in it perfectly.

Also, today was a chunky sweater and glasses kind of day. It's ridiculous that I'm still wearing sweaters in April and I live in Alabama, but oh well. I'll live.

Trip to the Museum

Bag - Forever 21

Wednesday Zachary and I went to the Birmingham Museum of Art. I had to find a sculpture to write a paper on for my sculpting class. The museum is twice as big as I thought it would be and we could have spent two more hours in there. After spending two hours in the museum, there were still about 20 rooms we didn't visit.

I decided that cute comfort was needed if I was going to be walking around in a chilly museum and exploring the sculpture garden out side. This outfit was perfect for this day. Basically everything in this outfit has either been seen on  here before, or it was thrifted except for my bag. It was from Forever 21 last summer.

Anyways, if anyone is in Birmingham and you have a chance to go by the museum. It's free to get in and completely worth the two dollars for parking that you pay at the local parking deck. They even have a cute restaurant inside and they have exhibits that change out.

Happy Paddy's Day!

Shirt - Urban Outfitters
Boots - Big Buddha

Excuse the dorky photo with the wheat. Haha, Zachary and I were just playing around.
This outfit didn't even have green in it until two seconds before I walked out the door. I actually had a jacket off but I grabbed the scarf instead and wore it like a cape.

There comes a time every month, where a girl has massive mood swings for about a week....I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. This outfit was fun and helped to put me in a great mood, which has been a hard thing to do for a couple of days.

Anyways, happy St. Paddy's Day everyone!

New Hair.

Red Velvet Heels - Jeffrey Campbell
Black Jeans - Forever 21
Green Jacket - Zara
Cream Sweater - Gap

I'm in love with this sweater. Oh yeah, and I have new hair. I decided to tone down the bright red and go to a dark burgundy. I will totally miss the bight tho. RIP.

My best friend sent me a shirt.

Teal Shirt- H&M
Black Jeans- Forever 21
Black Button Up- H&M

I was having the worst day ever when I came home from work one day and had a package. I opened it to find this adorable shirt and a letter from my best friend that lives a couple of hours away. I loved it so much that the second Zach came over I handed him my camera and we went to shoot.
It's very different from everything else I have, but it's perfect. The bow gives it the perfect feminine touch that I always seem to lack. I can't wait to pair it with shorts this summer! Thanks Macy!

(sorry this post is actually late. it's from 02-28-13)
